Who we are

Allela is run by Sid Kannan, trading as Allela, based in Chennai, India. Sid is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: sid@allela.org

What we hold and where it comes from

If we've emailed you about Allela, we hold your name, work email address, job title and employer. We found these in public professional sources, such as LinkedIn and company websites, or through business contact data tools. We also keep the emails we exchange with you.

Why we use it

To contact people whose work likely involves AI record-keeping, compliance or risk, and ask whether Allela is relevant to them. Our legal basis is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We contact people only in their professional role and only about topics related to their work.

Who can see it

Only Sid. We use Google Workspace for email and a customer relationship management tool to keep track of conversations. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Where it's processed

We're based in India, so your data is processed outside the EU/EEA. The service providers we use may also store data in other countries.

How long we keep it

If you don't reply, we delete your details within 12 months of our last email. If you ask us not to contact you again, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so we never email you by mistake.

Your rights

• Stop emails. Reply "unsubscribe" or email sid@allela.org and we'll stop, no questions asked.
• Object. You can object to us using your data at any time.
• Access, correct or delete. Ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to correct or delete it.
• Complain. You can complain to your data protection authority, for example the CNIL (France), the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Netherlands) or the Data Protection Commission (Ireland).

We'll respond to any request within one month.
